Margarita Banos-Milton (Dance Around The World)
“My goal for the students is that they discover the joy of dancing with the whole body, experiencing dance as a fine art individually and as a group for the sake of meaningful communication.”
Margarita Baños-Milton is now in her eighth year as a Fellow and dance specialist of the Oklahoma A+ Schools Program. As a Fellow she has collaborated in the creation and facilitation of workshops for three A+ State Wide Conferences, in addition to serving our A+ teachers in professional development. She brings 19 years of teaching experience, 11 at the university level and 8 at the secondary level where she founded the Modern Dance Program for the Norman Public Schools high schools. In addition to holding two masters degrees, Margarita is certified to teach dance in Oklahoma, for class license. Margarita is on the roster of the Visiting Artist Program of NPS. She has taught First and Second Grade residencies at Roosevelt and Monroe elementary schools.
